Task 10

I shared images of my final magazine because I wanted some feedback on  it. Many people say they liked the layout of the magazine and the good selection of photos within the magazine. Some people commented that the magzines masthead wasnt very bold and appealing as it was one neutral colour that the rest of the mgazine contained, to improve this they said I should of used the software illustrate to create a more bold and appealing masthead. People also commented that I didnt have a skyline which could of added to the magazine but I personally didnt want a skyline as I didnt want too much text on the front page. Overall, people did like that I followed a 3 colour scheme which made my magazine look neat and classy which was one of my goals.

This is my updated version of both the front cover and the content. I have changed the picture of my content page because I want to have a variety of people across my  magazine.

At first I didnt know what photo to use for my front cover because of the large amount of photos I took. I first chose the half faced one imitating a previous picture of Beyonce but I felt like the direct address was very limited. I then chose a the second picture because of the direct address and I feel like it fits in very well for a front cover page.

These are my initial ideas for my front cover and contents page. I'm aiming for them both to have neutral colours in it. I decided to change the layout of my contents page and change it to a double contents page.

These are 5 different front covers. 3 of them are the same picture but at different places on the page and 2 of them are also the same picture but at different places on the page. personally I prefer the 3rd and 5th one.

For my first draft version I used Beyonce as my cover star. When I took pictures for my magazine I took a picture similar to the Beyonce one.

This is the layout of my contents page. The clear boxes will contain text inside and the box with the lines will have an image inside. I have began writing the words 'contents page' but will later on making the look better with colour so it's not 2 plain colours of a black and white page.

This is the layout for my DPS that I am going to follow. Because I haven't yet placed my photos I have decided to design a layout. The 2 boxes with the lines inside will be the space that has an image inside. The other empty boxes will have text inside.

In this updated version of my front cover, I have moved the artists over to make more space for cover lines. I've added a barcode. My real magazine front cover will have a similar format as I like the way this one looks. I will be replacing the image with a photo I have taken once I've taken all my photos.

This is my first unfinished attempt of what my front cover will look like. The image is a close up which I believe will grab the reader's attention, especially because she is a well known artist. This initially wont work well because there is limited negative space which limits the amount of cover lines and puffs I want.
